REQUIREMENTS FOR ARTICLE PUBLICATION
Manuscripts of articles submitted to the editorial board of the “Physical and Mathematical Modeling and Information Technologies” must be properly designed and meet the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine for professional publications and for the profile of the journal.
Two hard copies of the manuscript of the article in Ukrainian and English of a total volume of up to 5 pages (including bibliography, tables (not more than 4), figures (not more than 4) are to be sent to the editorial board printed on white paper of A4 (210 mm×297 mm), the corresponding file in Word for Windows 6.0, 7.0 text editor. The text of the article should contain keywords, as well as abstracts in Ukrainian and English with translations of the authors’ names and the title of the article. It is desirable that the title of the article should be short and reflect its content. The units of physical quantities used in the publication must correspond to the SI system. At the end of the manuscript the full name of the organization in which the work was performed, and the date of sending to the editorial board should be indicated. One of the manuscripts should be signed by the authors.
The computer version of the manuscript must meet the following requirements.
The article should be prepared in the Word for Windows 6.0, 7.0 text editor (Times New Roman Cyr font, 11 pt, with the single interval).
Page settings: B5 format (176 mm×250 mm). Margins: top 2.5 cm, bottom 2.7 cm, left 2.5 cm, right 1.5 cm. Pages are not numbered.
The text should be arranged in the following order:
1. The UDC index, no paragraph indent, text aligned to the left edge (Arial Cyr, 11 pt, bold). Then the line is skipped before the title of the article.
2. The title of the article, no paragraph indent, text aligned to the left edge, the single line interval, lowercase letters (Arial Cyr, 13 pt, bold). Further, three lines should be skipped.
3. Names and surnames of the authors, no paragraph indent, text aligned to the left edge, the single line interval, lowercase letters (Arial Cyr, 11 pt).
4. Academic degree and title, place of work, postal address, e-mail. No paragraph indent, aligned by the width, the single line interval, lowercase letters (Times New Roman Cyr, 8 pt).
5. Abstract (not less than 10 lines) in the language of the article (without the word “abstract”, no paragraph indent, the 1 cm left indent, the 12 pt indent at the top and bottom of paragraph, aligned by the width, the single line interval, Times New Roman Cyr, 9 pt, italics).
6. Keywords (begins with the phrase “Keywords:”, no paragraph indent, the 1 cm left indent, aligned by the width, the single line interval, Times New Roman Cyr, 11 pt, italics). Further, one line should be skipped.
7. The main text of the article is printed with the single line interval and with the 1 cm paragraph indent (Times New Roman Cyr, 11 pt). The text is aligned by the width.
7.1. The article begins with an introduction. The word “Introduction” is printed without numbering, no paragraph indent, in bold letters. After it, in the same line, the text of the introduction is presented, which must meet the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine for professional publications.
7.2. The titles of the sections are numbered in Arabic figures starting from “1”, from the new line, no paragraph indent, in bold letters, the 12 pt indent at the top of the paragraph, the 6 pt indent at the bottom of the paragraph. The main text of the section begins with a new line.
7.3. Names of subsections with double numbering (the first figure denotes the section number, the second denotes the subsections), from the new line without paragraph indent, the 12 pt indent at the top of the paragraph. The name of the subsection is highlighted in bold. In the same line, the text of subsection is given.
7.4. The formulae are given in a separate line with the 1 cm left indent, numbered consecutively in Arabic figures in parentheses on the right side of the page with alignment to the right edge; only those formulae that are referenced in the text are numbered. Additional indents before and after the formulae are not made.
To type formulae, use the Equation 3.0 formula editor built-in the Word for Windows or Mathtype, configured as follows:
Text - Times New Roman Cyr, 11 pt; Function - Times New Roman Cyr, 11 pt; Variable - Times New Roman Cyr, Italic 11 pt; L.C.Greek - Symbol, 11 pt; U.C.Greek - Symbol, 11 pt; Symbol - Symbol, 11 pt; Matrix / Vector - Times New Roman Cyr, bold, 11 pt; Numbers - Times New Roman Cyr, 11 pt. Dimensions: Full - 11 pt; Sub-script / Superscript - 70%; Sub-Subscript / Superscript - 50%; Symbol - 150%; Sub-Symbol - 100%.
7.5. Tables and illustrations are numbered consecutively in Arabic figures. Captions to figures, the titles and text of tables are given in Times New Roman Cyr, 9 pt. The word “Table ...” is in a separate line on the right. The name of the table is indicated in the new line. Notes to the table are given only in the text. It is not advisable to use vertical inscriptions in the columns. All illustrations have captions. Captions to tables and illustrations are centered.
Drawings and photos (black and white, with grayscale) are “embedded” into the main text of the article and are given in the form of separate files in one of the following formats: TIFF, PCX, JPG, BMP, CDR.
7.6. The article ends with conclusions. The word “Conclusions” is printed without numbering, without paragraph indent, in bold letters. After it, in the same line, the text of the conclusions is presented, which must meet the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine for professional publications.
8. The list of cited literature is compiled in the order of reference in the text (Times New Roman Cyr, 9 pt). The word “References” is typed in a separate line and highlighted in bold. Between the text of the article and the list of cited references is the 12 pt indent at the top of the paragraph.
9. Translation of the title of the article (Arial Cyr, 12 pt, bold), surnames and names of the authors (Arial Cyr, 10 pt), as well as abstracts (Times New Roman Cyr, 9 pt, italics) in other language (for example, English, if the article is in Ukrainian).
10. At the end of the article, the date of its sending to the editorial board of the journal is indicated.
The manuscripts that are not properly prepared will not be accepted for publication. The editors maintain the right to edit the manuscript.
In case of revision of the article by the authors, the date of receiving of the manuscript of the article in the editorial office is the date of its re-submission. Manuscripts of articles are not returned to the authors in case of refusal to publish the work.
